Direct Repair Facilities
The idea of a Direct Repair Facility grew from the need to provide the motoring public with repair shops that were clean, safe and reputable. Insurance companies needed efficient, reliable places to repair vehicles at reasonable rates to keep their customers happy.
A pioneer in this field was the American Automobile Association with its “auto club” approved repair facility. Insurance companies investigated auto repair shops and graded them on facilities, efficiency and customer satisfaction. Those with good grades and consistent service won “direct repair” designations.
Today, direct repair facilities are one stop service centers for vehicle owners who have been in collisions. When a car is taken to a direct repair facility, an estimate will be prepared by facility staff and transmitted to the insurance company the same day. Damage will be photographed and sent to insurance adjusters speeding a decision to repair your car. Upon approval, parts are ordered and your car begins the “tear down” process. Delay is minimized and you are assured repairs will be completed by trained professionals using industry standard equipment. And best of all, your repairs are guaranteed. Both the direct repair facility and the insurance company stand behind them
Convenience, quality and responsive service are the hallmarks of a direct repair facility.
